Tales of Arise on Steam Peaks at 60,274 Players

It's beaten the previous record holder for Japanese RPGs on Steam, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, by nearly double.

Bandai Namco’s Tales of Arise has been doing pretty well since recently launching. On top of garnering positive reviews, it also debuted second in the UK physical game charts for the week ending September 11th. As it turns out, its PC player numbers on Steam are also very good.

According to SteamDB, it hit an all-time peak of 60,274 players on September 12th. For comparison, Tales of Zestiria managed an all-time peak of 9,696 players when it launched in 2015 while Tales of Berseria hit an all-time peak of 8,085 players in 2017. To say that Tales of Arise has set a new record would be a massive understatement.

In fact, it’s topped the list of Japanese RPGs with the highest all-time peaks, beating out previous record holder Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin (whose all-time peak hit 33,464 players). Tales of Arise is currently available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out our official review here to learn more about it.
