Terraria: Journey’s End Out Now, Hits Nearly 500,000 Player Peak

Terraria's last major update helps it attain a new all-time player peak.

Re-Logic’s massive and final update for Terraria, namely Journey’s End, went live on May 16th for PC players. The hype for it was already pretty nuts but it helped the game hit new all-time player peak of 489,886. Even with Terraria having sold 14 million players on the platform as of April 2020, that’s still an impressive peak.

Terraria: Journey’s End is packed with heaps of new content for players to enjoy. There are over 1000 new items to play with (including a new whip for Summoners), which makes for over 5000 items in total. The Bestiary will now provide new rewards courtesy of the new Zoologist NPC. Plus you can get around to enjoying some golf if you’d like.

The update also adds two new modes – Journey Mode and Master Mode. Journey Mode is almost like a Creative Mode, allowing for researching and duplicating items, adjusting various difficulty parameters and starting with better gear. In contrast, Master Mode is of much higher difficulty and will be the most brutal challenge for veterans yet. Terraria: Journey’s End is still to come for other platforms so stay tuned for more details.
