The Gfk has released the latest data for weekly physical software sales in the UK (via GamesIndustry), and the biggest new release of last week, The Crew Motorfest, has seen decent debut. The open world racer sits in second place, which is the same position The Crew 2 debuted in when it launched in 2018. Its physical launch sales, however, are about a third of the 2018 game, as per GI.biz’s Christopher Dring on Twitter– though it’s worth keeping in mind that its digital share is likely to be much higher.
Meanwhile, Hogwarts Legacy has climbed back into pole position, thanks in large part to a price promotion for its Xbox Series X version, leading to a 214% week-on-week increase in sales. Starfield, meanwhile, drops down to eighth place, seeing an 87% decrease in sales from last week.
Beyond that, plenty of the usual suspects can be found in the top 10, including the likes of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Grand Theft Auto 5, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and Minecraft. Red Dead Redemption 2 has also re-entered the top 10, sitting in tenth place.
