The Day Before Delayed to December 7, Will Launch in Early Access

The game will be priced at $39.99 during its early access period. Its PS5 and Xbox Series X/S release has been delayed.

MyTona and Fntastic’s The Day Before has attracted its fair share of controversy thanks to its numerous delays and what many have deemed to be unrealistic promises by the developer, but it seems like the open world survival title is finally read to launch- with some caveats.

For starters, the game has been delayed again. Previously given November 10 launch dateThe Day Before is now set to launch on December 7. The trademark dispute that the publisher was caught in the midst of (which also caused the game’s last delay) has been resolved, and the game is going to get to keep its name.

When it does launch, The Day Before will be available on PC (via Steam), rather than being a multiplatform release as previously planned, and will be available as an early access title, not a full game. Fntastic says this is due to The Day Before being its “first huge game”, which could lead to some “unforeseen circumstances”.

There’s no release date for the full version yet, with Fntastic saying it will launch “when we are certain this is the best version of the game possible.” When it does release in full, it will also launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. In early access, The Day Before will retail for $39.99, while its full version will be priced at $49.99.

A new trailer for the game has also been released. You can view it below.
