Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, a follow-up to Ubisoft Massive’s third person looter shooter, will be showcased at the Ubisoft E3 presser on June 11th. However, it seems that a few scant details for the game may already be available. This is thanks to a banner featuring promotional art at E3 2018. Check it out below courtesy of Michael Batenburg on Twitter.
The sequel seems to be taking place in Washington D.C. this time as Capitol Hill and the Washington Monument are visible in the background. Given that the US President authorized the use of Directive 51, which activated agents of the Strategic Homeland Division, it’s interesting to see that the capital has been devastated as well. This is also the first evidence of lawlessness outside of Manhattan.
Furthermore, the banner indicates some of the new weapons that players will use like a grenade launcher and crossbow. The former has been requested for a long time from fans of the first game and now it seems to finally be en route. The Division 2 is in development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will be releasing sometime before the current fiscal year is up as per Ubisoft.
