If you missed out on the chance to play The Division in its closed beta, well, you’re not completely out of luck yet- according to Xbox Italy’s official Facebook page, The Division will also be having a public, open beta later this month- from February 16-21, at least on the Xbox One (like with the closed beta, the PS4 and PC versions may have shorter timeframes- the Facebook page promised 24 hours exclusive access for Xbox One owners, at any rate).
The beta hasn’t actually been confirmed by Ubisoft yet, but Microsoft is likely to know about it anyway- especially since they are the official branding and marketing partners for The Division. Nevertheless, if you want, you can wait for official confirmation.
The Division will be launching in March on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Judging by the beta, it will have been worth the three year long wait- although Ubisoft should probably do something about the ease with which players have been able to hack and exploit the closed beta.
