Ubisoft’s highly anticipated The Division is almost here, which means if you have managed to remain completely spoiler free about the game, good job! On the other hand, if you have been ravenously looking for every last bit of information on the game that you can, then you will probably find a gold mine’s worth of information and content in Redditer ChristianRiensen‘s recent findings on the game.
No matter which of the two groups you fall into, bear in mind that, from this point forth, spoilers follow. If you want to go into The Division completely blind, you should exit out of this window right now.
Alright, now that that is out of the way, let’s get down to it. ChristianRiensen’s information comes from datamining the files of the PC version. He has discovered information on Gear Sets, Item trading, Daily and Weekly Missions, Supply Drops, and so on. His information doesn’t come directly from in game experiences, so it may be a bit off. However, he has discovered, for instance, that:
- There is some form of item trading (items dropped by enemies can be traded with other players). There is some sort of time limit on item trading.
- You get Global and Personal assignments each time you log into the game.
- Each item comes with ‘Gear Score.’ Your average Gear Score lets other players know how good or bad your gear is. Generally, you want better gear before you venture into the Dark Zones, or try to take on any end game content.
There’s more information than just that at the link provided above, so be sure to check it out.
