The Last of Us Part 2 has been out for over a week now, and amidst the positive critical reception and heated discourse surrounding the game, we’ve also heard about how well the game’s been selling in various parts of the world. But do Naughty Dog and Sony have any plans to add more content to the game down the line? The first game got a sizeable and memorable DLC with Left Behind, so can fans expect something similar with The Last of Us Part 2 as well?
It doesn’t seem like that’s the case. Speaking on a spoilercast with Kinda Funny (which you can view below- obviously, it has major spoilers for the game), when asked about possible DLC plans for the recently released game, creative director Neil Druckmann said Naughty Dog had no such plans.
Druckmann was also asked about the Factions multiplayer, which Naughty Dog cut out of The Last of Us Part 2, but Druckmann was unwilling to say anything about it. Last year, Naughty Dog did say that Factions would eventually return– what form that takes remains to be seen.
Will there be a sequel though? Obviously, Part 2 only just came out, but many fans are wondering that. Druckmann himself isn’t too sure about that yet. We would definitely like to see one- read this feature to see how we think Part 2 sets up a third game.
