While Motion Twin’s Windblown has received decent attention since debuting in early access, Evil Empire’s The Rogue Prince of Persia has been cooking for several months. It’s added new weapons, progression paths, biomes, and more to the rogue-like action platformer. On November 21st, it’s embracing a new art direction with The Second Act update.
On top of overhauling backgrounds and adding much more detail, it also revamps The Prince’s look in gameplay and during dialogue. Promising that game content will “double,” there will be new biomes, bosses, enemies, an entirely new story act, narrative polish for Act 1, and quality-of-life features like multiple save slots.
If that wasn’t enough, localization for German, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Korean, Spanish and Russian languages is also incoming. Stay tuned for the full patch notes when the update goes live next week. Also, for those disappointed that The Prince’s old look is disappearing, the developer teased potential skins in the future.
The Rogue Prince of Persia is available for PC via Steam Early Access. Check out our review of the launch version.
