Guerrilla Games promised that Killzone Shadow Fall would continue to get free DLC even after its release, and so far they have made good on that promise, releasing a wide range of free stuff that has continued to maintain at least some level of community engagement almost a year out from release. Today, for instance, they released three new maps for the game, available for the multiplayer and Intercept modes of the game.
The three new maps are The Statue, The Canal, and the ATAC Tower; of these, the first one is a competitive map, while the latter two are co-op. All of them are also compatible with the clan functionality that was added to the game in patch 1.5.
Killzone Shadow Fall was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 at the system’s launch in November last year. Although it opened to middling reception, it did well for itself at retail, and continued to maintain an active player base over time. Guerrilla Games are currently working on a new game for the PS4, allegedly an all new IP.
