Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is Out Now on Steam

A period of GOG exclusivity for a staggering 17 days, look at that.

CD Projekt RED’s Gwent RPG, which is based on the popular collectible card mini game within The Witcher 3, is out now on PC. However, it has been available exclusively via GOG, which is CD Projekt’s own online storefront, so far. That will change now, because Thronebreaker is, as of right now, available on Steam as well.

The game is available only on Windows, but that’s really the only consideration you need to have for now. Otherwise, it seems to be the exact same thing you can get on GOG, and for the exact same price of $30. It supports Steam Cloud, controller input, as well as Steam Achievements, too, if you’re into any of that stuff, which I know a lot of Steam players are.

In any case, now I imagine more PC players will look into playing this game, because a significant crowd does exist on PC that will not play a game unless it’s on Steam. A release for Thronebreaker on Xbox One and PS4 is also scheduled for the end of this year.
