TitanFall Releasing on PC Same Time as Xbox 360 and Xbox One

And it is not Windows 8 exclusive.

TitanFall, the upcoming highly anticipated shooter by EA and Respawn Entertainment, will be getting a release on PC the same time as the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions release, it has been confirmed. Though the game will remain Xbox One exclusive for the entirety of its lifetime, that is only as far as consoles go, and it will have no bearing whatsoever on the PC version.

”Titanfall is releasing simultaneously for XB1, 360, and PC. It does not require Windows 8 on PC,” confirmed Respawn’s Abbie Heppe.

More than the day and date release, the prospect of no mandatory Windows 8 is probably what will appeal to most PC gamers; as Microsoft’s push for its beleaguered successor to Windows 7 gets harder, people are rightfully apprehensive of the time when Windows 8 will be a mandatory requirement to play new games. So far, that hasn’t happened, and it looks like TitanFall, at least, won’t be starting the trend.
