Titanfall Won’t Have Mod Support “For Sure” At Launch

But Respawn will evaluate the same after launch.

For all its innovations and amazing mechanics, Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall is still very much a first person shooter. That means mods, both visual and gameplay-wise, and user-made maps but they won’t be arriving when the game launches in March.

On Twitter, Respawn Entertainment’s Vince Zampella stated that such tools “for sure” won’t be available for use at launch. However, there is plenty of room for possibility since Zampella also stated that, “Will have to evaluate after launch.”

Titanfall is a multiplayer-only shooter which will see soldiers contending and working side-by-side with huge, hulking Titan class mechs in open war. The soldiers will be capable of wall-running and using jetpacks to successfully survive on the battlefield, but NPCs, cut-scenes and slightly branching paths will give it a bit of a single-player feel.

Titanfall releases for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on March 11th in North America and March 13th in Europe.
