Microsoft has announced, via a tweet made my Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, the newest batch of Xbox 360 games that are playable on Xbox One via the backward compatibility program. Tom Clancy’s EndWar and Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. are not particularly special or memorable games, but both have their fans, and H.A.W.X. especially fills in a niche that is rarely addressed in the market these days—it’s a really fun aerial combat game.
That said, you do have to already own the game—H.A.W.X. was delisted years ago, and you can’t actually buy the game from the Xbox Store anymore. Of course, if you own the disc, this won’t be a problem, and you can just pop it in and play the game. Conversely, EndWar has no such considerations, and you can pick it up digitally from the Xbox Store now if you wish to.
Now that these games are out, maybe Microsoft can finally put Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory on Xbox One via backward compatibility soon too…
If you’re looking for other Xbox 360 action games to play on your Xbox One, the original Just Cause was recently added to the backward compatible list, too.
