Tom Clancy’s The Division New Details Is Currently Running At 30 FPS

The game is still a ways off though.

Despite Ubisoft stating Tom Clancy’s The Division, the massively multiplayer action game for PS4 and Xbox One, will be running at 60 frames per second, the game is currently running at 30 frames per second.

Analyzing footage from E3, The Division was seen to run at a steady 30 frames per second, with only occasional dips to 20 FPS when things got explosive, according to a new analysis by The Digital Foundry. Some odd artifacts appeared as a result of irregular frame ordering, along with some tearing and frame buffer issues. Given that the game is still a long way with a release in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Keep in mind that this is footage from the PlayStation 4 build of the game. As such, there are plenty of things and it’s incredible that it even looks the way it is right now given how far off it is. Stay tuned for more details.
