Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 Announced for Consoles

Returns to the series' roots and features seamless online play.

Activision and developer Robomodo have confirmed that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is in development. The announcement comes via Game Informer which also released the first few screens for the same (one of which you can check out above).

The fifth game will signal a return to the classic gameplay of the first four games and look to add power-ups, shooting projectiles and other abilities depending on the mission. There will also be a new set of levels with different objectives and missions that can be completed either solo or with friends. Co-op and competitive modes will be available. Moving from online to offline will be a seamless process and you’ll be able to create different skate parks.

Various skaters include Tony Hawk, Riley Hawk, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Andrew Reynolds and a variety of other skaters. No news on whether Spider Man will be returning to the active roster.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will be out later this year on Xbox One and PS4. Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be out shortly after.
