Flying Wild Hog’s side-scrolling action-adventure title Trek to Yomi is looking like a gorgeous game from everything we’ve seen of it so far, and though its black-and-white aesthetic and art design are clearly the visual highlights here, the tech powering that is just as important. With that in mind, how is the game going to run on the newer, more powerful consoles?
We recently posted the question to game director Marcin Kryszpin in an interview, and it seems Trek to Yomi will have things covered on the front as well, with Kryszpin confirming to GamingBolt that the game will run at 4K and 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Whether or not the developers will add other graphics modes for better performance options down the line remains to be seen, but at least we’re assured that the baseline is looking solid.
In the same interview, Kryszpin also spoke with us about Trek to Yomi’s length, confirming that the game will be about five hours long on normal difficulty. Read more on that through here.
Our full interview with Kryszpin will be live soon, so stay tuned for that.
Trek to Yomi launches on May 5 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A Nintendo Switch version isn’t announced, but isn’t being ruled out either.
