It’s been a few years since the launch of Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, but if you’re a fan of the fantasy platforming series and are itching to jump back in with a new adventure, there’s good news for you- you won’t be waiting much longer.

Developer Frozenbyte has announced the next instalment in the franchise, Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy. Set to be published by THQ Nordic the game will once again star Amadeus the Wizard, Zoya the Thief, and Pontius the Knight in what’s being billed as “Trine‘s deepest and visually richest chapter to date” and the series’ “most epic” entry yet, with more levels, puzzles, and battles than any of the previous entries.

The 2.5D platformer will allow up to four player local and online co-op and will also be playable solo, and will feature plenty of new systems and mechanics, such as a new adaptive difficulty system for both combat and puzzles, a new combat system, a character-specific skill quest system for deeper progression, and more.

Frozenbyte is also promising “tense” boss fights, cosmetic customization mechanics, and more. Check out the trailer below for more details.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy will launch this Summer for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
