Ubisoft Info Blowout: Trials Evolution Gold Edition, Splinter Cell Blacklist and Far Cry 3 Deluxe Bundle DLC

Sales record breaks, new trailers and content are all on the Ubisoft agenda.

Ubisoft has unleashed lots of unique, new information today concerning some of its most successful titles like Trials Evolution: Gold Edition and Far Cry 3, aside from showcasing a new trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist. To start things off, Trials Evolution: Gold Edition is confirmed to be releasing on March 22nd for Xbox Live Arcade through both retail and digital download. The Gold Edition will feature Trials Evolution and Trials HD, both developed by Ubisoft Shanghai and RedLynx.

To make things even better, the Trials franchise has crossed an important sales landmark with over 4 million units sold. Surely such an occasion is deserving of a new trailer for the Gold Edition, no?

In other news, Splinter Cell: Blacklist has received a new “Inauguration” trailer to build hype for its August 23rd release date.

Featuring US Presidents, both past and present, inter-cut with footage of protagonist Sam Fisher, the trailer outlines the attempts by Fourth Echelon to stop The Blacklist, an escalating series of terrorist attacks targeting the White House Itself.

One could swear those guys get no breaks, and one would be right. But luckily good ol’ Sam Fisher is there to bail them out of trouble.

Finally, in more…unstable news, Ubisoft has announced the release of the Far Cry 3 Deluxe Bundle DLC pack on Xbox 360, PC and PS3. The Deluxe Bundle helps unlock the bonus content from the Insane Edition for those who haven’t purchased it yet.

It includes six new single player missions from Monkey Business and the Lost Expeditions, four new animals to hunt including the Mountain Lion and Red Vulture, new single player weapons like Tribal Knife and Hunter’s M700 Predator and two new multi-player weapons in the Type-10 flare shotgun and Predator Bow.

Hurk and his monkeys will also be available as a new character, and there will be two new end-of-match movies for multi-player featuring the crazy critters.

With all the content from the Lost Expeditions, Monkey Business, Warrior, Hunter and Predator packs, the Deluxe Bundle provides a very meaty extension to the already massive Far Cry 3 experience. It’s available for 800 Microsoft Points and £7.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3/PC respectively.
