Assassin’s Creed 3 released worldwide on October 31st, and it did very well critically. We all expected it to do well commercially too, and it’s delivered on that. The UK charts have just been released, and Assassin’s Creed 3 has debuted on top, displacing the previous week’s leader Medal of Honor: Warfighter, which now sits on No. 6.
GFK Chart-Track reports that Assassin’s Creed 3 has become the second fastest selling game of 2012 and has surpassed all Ubisoft sales records. It sold in its first week almost twice as much as AC2 did in the same time period, and outperformed Assassin’s Creed: Revelations’ first week sales last year by an impressive 117,000 units.
Even Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, the PS Vita title, made it into the list, debuting at No. 14. Need for Speed: Most Wanted sits at the fifth position.
