After a 6 week run at the top of the all-formats charts for Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us, the game has finally dropped down to third position following competition from Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and Pikmin 3 according to the latest UKIE Games Charts courtesy of Gfk Chart-Track.
After spending last week in second place, Mojang’s open world sandbox title finally claimed the top spot as the highest selling game across all formats in the UK (for this week at least). Meanwhile, Nintendo’s Pikmin 3 debuted for the Wii U at second place, marking one of the rare occasions that a Wii U game enters into the top 5.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf is steady at fourth place while Mario and Luigi: Dream Team Bros. drops to fifth place. Both are Nintendo 3DS titles. This is followed by the usual line-up as FIFA 13 rises up from ninth place to sixth and Far Cry 3 drops from sixth place to seventh.
