Uncharted 4’s Multiplayer Mode Reported to Run at 900p And 60fps

It's a bit of a drop off from single player, but not much.

While Sony spent an awful lot of time talking about new titles at Paris Games Week that doesn’t mean the company completely ignored upcoming existing titles like Uncharted 4. In particular the company was talking about the features of the game’s multiplayer mode. We already know that the mode will not have any dedicated servers. Instead it will be relying on peer-to-peer connections. Whether or not that’s better or worse than what other games have done will be seen when it officially launches.

We also now know, according to Eurogamer the multiplayer mode is going to look plenty attractive. There will be a slight hit when it comes to the sharpness as the website says it will be running at 60fps, with the resolution taking a slight hit to 900p – which contrasts with the single-player, which is hitting 1080p resolution and will be 30fps. Still, we can take solace in the fact the game is going to look really good. We’ve already seen the remastered graphics for the Uncharted 4 collection so we’ve seen the game look pretty before.

While announcing the multiplayer is going to be 60fps, Naughty Dog also revealed there are going to me more magical elements in this game as well as a more complex, varied brand of competitive play. Users will get a first hand look at the game and the multiplayer mode in the beta that’s coming in December. All of this is in preparation for the full game which is coming next spring. Uncharted 4 will officially be arriving on the PS4 exclusively in March, 2016.
