Sony has unveiled new details on Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which will compile remastered versions of PS4 exclusives Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The collection will launch for PS5 on January 28, 2022. There’s no word yet on when the PC version will arrive, but Sony promises it will be sharing more information on that in the future.
As for what to expect from it on the PS5, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will only feature the single player experiences of the two games, which means that, in line with previous reports, their online multiplayer components will not be included.
The remasters will feature three graphics modes on the PS5. Fidelity Mode will feature a native 4K resolution along with 30 FPS performance; Performance Mode will target 60 FPS, carrying over the high framerate PS4 patch; and Performance+ Mode will target 120 FPS, with the resolution dropping down to 1080p.
Meanwhile, you can also expect “near instant” load times, support for spatial 3D audio, as well as implementation of the DualSense’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will cost $49.99/€49.99, but if you already own either of the two games or their digital PS4 bundle, you can upgrade to the remastered collection’s digital version for $10.
