Vampire Survivors Developer Investigating Online Co-Op, but Makes No Promises

Poncle has also revealed that there is quite a bit of additional content planned for Vampire Survivors.

Developer Poncle has stated that it is looking into the possibility of bringing online co-op to Vampire Survivors. Speaking during an AMA on Reddit, Poncle said that it is investigating online co-op for the game, but there is no guarantee of the feature actually coming to the title.

“Yes, we’re investigating proper online co-op,” said Poncle while answering a question about the feature in the AMA, while at the same time reaffirming that it “cannot make any promises at this time as it’s a massive undertaking.”

Other interesting details revealed thanks to the AMA include the fact that Poncle apparently has planned content for Vampire Survivors at least until the end of 2024. While there is additional content for the game planned, the studio has also stated that it has no interest in making a sequel unless the sequel were to be significantly different.

“We can just keep adding stuff to the main game and so that’s what we’re going to do,” Poncle said. “If we ever make a sequel, it would have to be significantly different than the current game”.

Vampire Survivors got local co-op mode on all platforms relatively recently, with the update having come out back in August. More recently, a leak indicated that a Director’s Cut version of the game is currently in the works.
