Developer poncle has announceda second collaboration DLC for Vampire Survivors. Teaming up with Konami’s Contra team, Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns is set for release on May 9. Check out the trailer below.
Vampire Survivors will be getting a host of new content with the release of Operation Guns, including 11 new playable characters, 22 new weapons, a new large stage, a new bonus stage, 13 new music tracks from the Contra franchise, and a new 6-chapter adventure.
Interestingly, poncle has stated that most weapons in the new stage will have slightly lower damage output in order to pay homage to the Contra franchise’s historically high difficulty levels. Some of the new weapons will also require players to aim more carefully, and will even have an added constraint in the form of 8-angle shooting.
Alongside announcing the new collaboration DLC, poncle has also announced that Vampire Survivors will be coming to PS4 and PS5. While no release date for the PlayStation versions has been revealed, the studio is aiming for a Summer 2024 release window.
