Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Earns More Revenue in Two Weeks Than Predecessor

That's two weeks of sales versus two years of sales for the original.

Fatshark’s Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a pretty fun co-op game even with its slight annoyances and the world seems to have woken up to this fact. Along with selling over 500,000 copies in its first few days of release on PC, Vermintide 2 has already earned more revenue in two weeks than its predecessor did over its lifespan. Considering the first Vermintide has been out for two years, that’s a fairly big accomplishment.

Speaking to PCGamesInsider.biz, Fatshark CEO Martin Wahlund said that, “We knew we had a good game. We didn’t have a huge marketing budget, but we got a lot of support, both from the media, from streamers and from gamers all over the world.”

When you consider that the Xbox One and PS4 versions haven’t even been released yet, then it seems Vermintide 2’s best days are yet to come. The game has received large amounts of praise for its combat, the level design and the sheer intensity of the action. To Fatshark’s credit, it’s doing its best to support the game with bug fixes, balance changes and much more. If you want to learn more, you can check out our official review here.
