Warhammer: Vermintide 2 – Winds of Magic Expansion Arrives on August 13th

A new enemy faction and new game mode arrive next week.

Fatshark’s Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has received a couple of paid DLC packs since release. However, Winds of Magic will be its first real expansion, introducing a new faction, new weapons and some beastly new foes like the Minotaur. Check out the gameplay trailer below.

The Beastmen will be joining the fray, showcasing their ruthless nature on those allied with order. Other new features include the return of Cataclysm difficulty, an increased level cap (35) along with new talents and a new progression system specific to Winds of Magic. Each hero will also be getting a new weapon – Sienna gets a flaming flail while Kerillian has a shield and spear.

The main appeal of the expansion is the Winds of Magic mode where you enter different “weaves” that provide increasingly difficult challenges. These weaves will influence the magic present in the map, the objective, difficulty and so on. The expansion is out on August 13th for PC – stay tuned for more details in the coming week.
