Shiro Games’ open world RPG Wartales will be entering Steam Early Access on December 1st for PC players. A new trailer has been released, showcasing its various aspects in action, from exploration to combat. The story sees a band of mercenaries traveling and attempting to survive in a world suffering a deadly plague.
The current plan for Wartales is to remain in early access for “around 12 months” though it could exit sooner based on how quickly the developer implements “all of our planned features and content.” As such, it’s in no rush and wants the final game to be “exactly where it needs to be” regardless of the release date. The early access version comprises the full experience as envisioned but with content limited to a few regions at the beginning.
Throughout early access, Shiro Games is looking to have balancing changes, new rules and modes, more regions, new “diverse” opponents and improvements. It will have an introductory price in early access which will see a small increase with the official release. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming weeks.
