While Ubisoft is plenty excited about what Watch Dogs 2 is going to offer when it launches, it appears gamers are not quite as excited. It turns out that Ubisoft has not recorded as many preorders as they had been hoping would be coming in for the upcoming title.
The company was recently on an earnings call and talked about how the preorders have not been hitting the goals the company set for Watch Dogs 2. The company said that they are going to be reducing the revenue target for FY17 overall but it appears Watch Dogs 2 is playing at least a part of that.
At the same time, Ubisoft has said it has only gotten positive feedback about the game. Perhaps the backlash against the original Watch Dogs has damaged the preorders. It’s possible once the game releases, the company will see plenty of sales. Watch Dogs 2 is due to release on November 15 for the Xbox One and PS4 and two weeks later on the PC.
