Wii U version of FIFA 13 missing critical items

"Purely and simply because Nintendo's online is in its infancy."

The Wii U version of a multiplatform game–and a popular one at that–will not be on par with the PS3 and Xbox 360 version.

The game I am talking about is FIFA 13 and it won’t feature the FIFA Ultimate Team. What? That is very popular, I have no idea why it wasn’t included. The producer of the Wii U version of FIFA 13 called the Nintendo online “in its infancy”, and also mentioned that UT is a very complex feature.

So what was Nintendo doing all these years without developing a solid infrastructure?

“We don’t have Ultimate Team, purely and simply because Nintendo’s online is in its infancy,” he told Eurogamer.

“It’s building. FUT took five years to appear on 360 and PS3. They’re very complex features. It’s potentially something we could do further down the line. But in terms of initially getting the foundation set, that wouldn’t have been technically feasible, because it is such a complex mode.

“Some of the later improvements on FIFA 13 we weren’t able to get into the game. So we’ve got version one. They’ve got version two.”

Nintendo gets shafted again by the third-parties. Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
