Team Ninja’s Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty appears to stick to the formula established by its Nioh series while branching out in new directions with exploration, combat, and so on. Unlike Nioh 1 and 2, it will be available at launch for PC and include PC-specific features like Nvidia DLSS and mouse and keyboard support.
Speaking to WCCF Tech, producers Fumihiko Yasuda and Masaaki Yamagiwa said, “Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will come with mouse and keyboard support for PC as well as NVIDIA DLSS support.” The latter may not launch with the PC version, though. “At the time, however, we can’t say if it will be available at launch, like for Nioh 2, or implemented later on with a patch, like for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.”
As for multiplayer, cross-gen support allows Xbox and PlayStation players to match together on their respective platforms. Cross-platform play is not supported, sadly. Xbox Series X/S players thus can’t play with PS5 players or even PC players, which is a shame.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty launches on March 3rd, 2023, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. It’s also available on day one on Game Pass.
