After some anticipation, the first free DLC for Saber Interactive’s World War Z is finally out on June 3rd. Along with including a new mission set in Tokyo, the DLC will contain a field of view slider, support for private lobbies, and a new “special” zombie (teased in the tweet below). Other changes and features will become clearer when the DLC is live.
According to the developer’s roadmap for May to July, the next feature will be an Extreme difficulty one, which has a six Skull rating. We can also expect a weekly challenge mode and new weapons, along with new skins and accessories down the line. Given how the Tokyo mission was supposed to release this month and is subsequently coming in June, it remains to be seen if other content has been pushed back as well.
World War Z has otherwise done pretty well, almost hitting two million players as of last week. Despite the PC version being exclusive to the Epic Games Store, it still sold more than 250,000 copies within its first week. World War Z is also available for Xbox One and PS4.
