Though its PC version is exclusive to the Epic Games Store, Saber Interactive’s World War Z has performed pretty well. According to the developer on Twitter, it’s reached nearly two million players. It proceeded to thank players for their support and said it “can’t wait for you all to play what we have in store!”
World War Z sold over 1 million copies within a week of its launch. More than 250,000 copies sold were through the Epic Games Store. A roadmap for free content has since been provided for upcoming content, with the development team working on a new mission in Tokyo. A new zombie, Extreme difficulty, new mode, and new weapons will also be added in the coming months.
Players can also expect new weapon variants, character skins, and accessories at some point. The developer didn’t provide a release date for the Tokyo mission, but assured fans that it’s “on the way.” Stay tuned for more information on World War Z in the meantime. Along with PC, it’s also available for Xbox One and PS4.
