Remember Below? It was the action rogue-like that was actually one of the very first games revealed for the Xbox One as part of the then-new visibly indie games push by Microsoft. It was revealed in 2013, as a game coming to PC and Xbox One- and here we are in 2018, and the game is still not out.
But that will change this year for sure, developer Capybara Games promises. Speaking to Engadget, creative director Kris Piotrowski said that they were committed to releasing the long awaited and curiously delayed game this year, while declining to actually give a release window more specific than that. Which, when your game has been missing in action for five years, is the kind of statement that does not exactly inspire confidence. That said, he also promised visual enhancements for the Xbox One X, including 4K and 60 frames per second. Which, if the game ever comes out, I am sure people will appreciate.
That said, hey, Cuphead was another neat looking indie game announced for Xbox One that got a fair few delays, and when it finally came out, it was well worth the wait. May Below turn out to be another case like that too.
