Xbox One Outsells Xbox 360 Two-to-One in UK on Launch

Ten of sixteen launch titles enter the UK top 40.

According to the latest UKIE Game Charts, we managed to learn about just how well the Xbox One sold when it released on November 22nd. While the console sold 1 million units worldwide within the first day of launch, the Xbox One did manage to outsell the Xbox 360, two-to-one, in the UK. This was gleaned when comparing the launch periods of both consoles.

Even better, the Xbox One made up 80 percent of all consoles sold over this previous week. The launch titles even managed to secure some strong places in the software charts, with 10 out of 16 launch titles entering into the top 40 (though this only accounts for retail sales). Some of the bigger AAA titles like Ryse: Son of Rome, Forza Motorsport 5 and Dead Rising 3 even managed to secure spots in the top 10.

The Xbox One bundle and version of FIFA 14 even managed to help the game top the game charts. Not a bad launch, especially considering the controversy the console has faced in the months leading up to it.
