Xbox One Receiving Chat Pad for Messages, Sharing Clips

The Chat Pad will be out in November though pricing is yet to be determined.

If you’ve ever had any trouble navigating the Xbox One’s on-screen keyboard when sending messages, then Microsoft will soon have a solution for you soon. It recently announced the Chat Pad for the console which fits into the bottom of the controller and it’s essentially a physical keyboard for typing out messages.

This is somewhat similar to the keyboard seen on the Xbox 360. However, the Xbox One’s Chat Pad will have dedicated buttons for recording clips and screenshots. So rather than double tapping the Xbox button and hitting X or Y to record media, you can simply press the dedicated key on the Chat Pad. There’s also a headphone jack and dedicated buttons for adjusting the volume of in-game music and chat.

The Xbox One Chat Pad releases in November. As of now, the price hasn’t been announced so stay tuned for more information on the same and let us know what you think of it in the comments below.
