Microsoft has recently announced on Xbox Wire that its sales for the Xbox One have “more than doubled” in early June compared to sales in May. This is just Microsoft’s own internal data though and only accounts for the United States but it’s significant news considering the PS4’s lead in the console war.
In early June, Microsoft began to sell Xbox One units without the motion camera Kinect for $100 less. This price drop was praised all around, though Microsoft said it would look into selling Kinect separately this Fall. At the very least, it seems to have worked for Microsoft in one territory. All that’s left is to wait on the official numbers from other countries.
The Xbox One also has a better line-up this Holiday season with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive, Project Spark and much more incoming. What are your thoughts on the Xbox One’s recent sales? Let us know below.
