Microsoft spent an awful lot of time talking about just how successful they were towards the end of 2015. Now the company has some actual numbers to back up that bragging and it seems as though the company does indeed have something to crow about. The first piece of good news for the company is that the Xbox One is continuing to outpace the Xbox 360 when it comes to consoles sales at the same points in the two consoles’ generations.
It’s a safe bet that the ability to play some Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One with more titles coming all the time is one that is drawing more people in. Signs that the console is starting to hit its stride are also evidenced by the number of first party games that were released near the end of 2015 and those games will continue to get a pretty regular release as we get further into 2016. Xbox Live is apparently also getting more popular all the time, as Microsoft said the online service just had its biggest day in its history.
“On Dec. 28 there were more gamers using Xbox Live than any other day in Xbox history, and the number of hours spent gaming on Xbox One and Xbox 360 during Christmas week 2015 were up compared to last year,” Microsoft stated. While the firm is clearly happy about the success of the Xbox One it’s got to be tickled pink that the Xbox 360 is still getting plenty of play, at least in the United States.
