While we are still, surprisingly mostly in the dark about details surrounding the Nintendo Switch like the price, well known industry analyst Michael Pachter thinks he’s got the upcoming console sized up. The analyst recently talked about that console, as well as Project Scorpio.
In an interview with GamesIndustry, Pachter said he believes the Switch is going to be priced “just right” and that the affordable pricing is going to cause some seriously high demand. “The Switch is sold out through September. The console looks fun, the price appears to be right, and I expect demand to be high. If there is a lot of third-party support (games, not merely labels), I think demand remains high.” Pachter said.
When it comes to the Scorpio, Pachter believes Microsoft’s next console is going to cost $399. The analyst added he believes this might be too high a price tag, considering the PS4 Pro might drop in price next fall, when Scorpio is due to hit shelves.
