Xbox’s Aaron Greenberg Says Microsoft Games Could Come To Epic Games Store, But Unlikely As Exclusives

Greenberg says Epic's strategy is too closed off for the company.

The Epic Games Store has been in the center of a multitude of controversies ever since it launched and Epic Games began the strategy of buying third party exclusives to their storefront/launcher, something that’s gotten pretty heated at times. The company has gotten some high profile titles that has caused a lot of frustration from certain PC players. But one company that won’t be part of that is Microsoft, who says the strategy of Epic Games isn’t something they are into.

In Twitch interview, Xbox’s Aaron Greenberg said while they were open to the idea of putting their titles on the Epic Games Store, they want to see the platform have a bigger “connected” community that focuses on players over the business side of things, which seems like a fancy way of saying they won’t be part of any exclusive deals.

Microsoft has become far more open with the PC platform lately, which has included launching their titles on Steam. So don’t count out their titles coming to Epic’s storefront, but don’t expect them to be exclusive. Maybe.
