XCOM and DuckTales Lead The Batch Of New Xbox 360 Games Added To Xbox One’s Backwards Compatible List

Bringing the total number of Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One to 189.

Microsoft continues to add multiple new games its list of Xbox 360 games that are backwards compatible and will run on the Xbox One. Its most recent batch added six total new games to the list, including a couple of pretty high profile ones.

The main attraction in this new list is XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the Xbox 360 port of Firaxis’ 2012 hit reboot of the long running XCOM franchise. It will also be made available to Xbox Live Games with Gold subscribers for free next month, so this addition comes just in time. It is accompanied by five other games- the full list of games added to the backwards compatible list follows:

  • Domino Master
  • DuckTales: Remastered
  • Hexic 2
  • Magic 2012
  • Unbound Saga
  • XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Xbox One now plays nearly 200 Xbox 360 games via its backwards compatibility feature, and it does so without getting its users to pay up for games that they already own. Its definitely a great feature- and its good to see Microsoft continuing to support it.
