Asobo Studio has been fairly busy with Microsoft Flight Simulator, which is still receiving regular content updates, but it has another project in the works. It’s currently looking for two senior animators to work on an unannounced project. Qualifications include working on a “AA or AAA video game production”, “excellent mastery of animation techniques” and having a “good knowledge of anatomy.”
While it’s unknown what this new project could be, a sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence isn’t out of the question. The listing outright states that it’s for “The team behind ‘A Plague Tale: Innocence‘”, though this could apply to the studio in general. The title has sold over one million copies as of July 1st 2020 and was deemed commercial success by publisher Focus Home Interactive before that.
In 2019, A Plague Tale: Innocence was rumored to be receiving sequel in 2022. Focus Home and Asobo confirmed that they were working on a new game together but didn’t offer any more details. We’ll have to wait for more updates in the meantime. A Plague Tale: Innocence is currently available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Check out our official review here.
