Ace Combat 7 Debuts Strong in UK, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe On Top

76 percent of sales for the combat flight game came from the PlayStation 4 version.

Bandai Namco’s Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown had strong debut in the UK. According to Gfk Chart-Track/UKIE charts for the week ending January 19th, the combat flight title saw 76 percent of sales coming from the PlayStation 4 version. Even with this impressive performance, Nintendo’s New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe still reigned supreme.

According to GamesIndustry.biz, the Switch title – which contains ports of New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U – saw a 43 percent drop in sales but managed to maintain its position. Lack of other major releases led to titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and FIFA 19 remaining in the top 10. The only other noteworthy developments were Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy re-entering the top ten this week.

It should be interesting to see how New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe fares this week, especially with Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 releasing on January 25th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts 3 is also out this month, releasing on January 29th for Xbox One and PS4. Check out the this week’s top ten in the UK below:
