With the open stress test for Age of Empires 4 ending today, the development team has released full match between the Rus and Holy Roman Empire civilizations. It showcases the kinds of technologies and resources that both sides utilize along with their respective tactics. Check it out below.
Other civilizations that will be available in the full game include the Chinese, French, English, Mongols, Abbasid Dynasty and Delhi Sultanate. Thus far, we’ve seen two separate campaigns – the Rise of Moscow for the Holy Roman Empire and the Norman Campaign which focuses on King Harold’s battle with the Duke William of Normandy with the former also dealing with Viking raiders.
There’s also the Hundred Years War campaign which focuses on France as it fights off raids by the English. It sees Jeanne d’Arc rising to prominence while modern weapons like cannons come into play. One more campaign is yet to be revealed so stay tuned in the coming weeks. Age of Empires 4 is out on October 28th for PC and launches day one on Xbox Game Pass.
