Following its closed beta from August, Age of Empires 4 will have a stress test at 10 AM PST on September 17th and September 20th. This will be open to all players who can access it either via the Xbox Insider Hub or through Steam. Being an Age Insider isn’t necessary and there’s no NDA in effect so participants can freely share footage and impressions.

The stress test will be multiplayer focused but the tutorial-esque Mission Zero will be available along with matches against the AI in Multiplayer Custom Lobby. The English, Chinese, Abbasid Dynasty and Holy Roman Empire will be playable across five maps. Various tweaks have also been made based on closed beta feedback, including greater maximum distance when zooming the camera out, balancing the English and Chinese civilizations, and various bug fixes.

Age of Empires 4 releases on October 28th for PC. It will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days.
