Alone in the Dark DLC Lets You Use Character Models from the 1992 Original

It's bundled with the Deluxe Edition, which also features the Vintage Horror Filter Pack and Director's Commentary Mode.

THQ Nordic’s Alone in the Dark, a reimagining of the 1992 survival horror classic, is on track to release next month. While it features a new aesthetic, players can add a bit of nostalgic flair courtesy of the Vintage Horror Filter Pack. Check out the Deluxe Edition trailer to see it in action.

The DLC includes multiple filters, from a black-and-white option to impart an air of Noir mystery to 8-bit visuals. However, perhaps the craziest inclusion is utilizing the original game’s character models in all their blocky glory. There’s also a Director’s Commentary Mode to provide more details on behind-the-scenes development.

Alone in the Dark is out on March 20th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. The Deluxe Edition retails for $69.99 and includes all three pieces of DLC. However, you can also pick them up separately, with the Vintage Horror Filter Pack and Director’s Commentary Mode costing $4.99 each, while the Derceto 1992 Costume Pack retails at $2.99.
