Apex Legends’ Pathfinder Has Hitbox Issues, Respawn Investigating

Shots register on the support Legend in bizarre places during training mode.

The fervour around Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends, which garnered 25 million players in its first week, is still pretty strong. So it only makes sense that players will begin noticing some of the more bizarre issues that exist in the game- like Pathfinder, the grappling support Legend, having a larger than normal hitbox in training mode.

SookieSpy on YouTube showcases how weird this hitbox can be. Firing close to Pathfinder will count as a hit. Shooting between its legs also registers as a hit, and so do any shots fired in front of its toes. This isn’t something that Legends like Bloodhound have a problem with, strangely enough.

Thankfully, Respawn is aware of the issue. Community manager Jay Frechette recently stated on Reddit, “We were actually discussing it today. I can’t say anything more for now but we hear you guys.” When this will be addressed remains to be seen, but the developer has been doing fairly decent job with updates, fixing performance issues and crashes across all platforms. They also recently added a new weapon, the energy assault rifle Havoc, which can also double up as a long-range charged beam.
