Ark 2 Delayed to 2023, Launching Day One on Game Pass

The prehistoric survival sandbox title will be available day one on Game Pass for Xbox consoles, PC and cloud when it arrives next year.

Studio Wildcard’s survival sandbox sequel Ark 2 received brief new trailer at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. Unfortunately, it also received a delay. Instead of this year, it’s now launching in 2023 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. However, it will be available on day one for Game Pass on Xbox consoles, PC and cloud.

The new trailer doesn’t reveal much by way of gameplay. Vin Diesel, who also serves as the project’s executive producer, plays Santiago who struggles to survive along with his loved ones in the prehistoric land. He also rides a T.Rex-looking dinosaur, trampling on the smaller velociraptor-looking dinos, because why not?

How the gameplay will shake out remains to be seen though the developer notes that you’ll be teaming with legendary heroes and confronting some mysterious yet powerful “dark forces.” Stay tuned for more details in the coming months along with updates from the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.
