Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Gameplay Reveals Social Stealth, Parkour, and Gorgeous Weather

Watch Edward crouch anywhere, anytime, without restrictions, parkour through dynamic rain and execute the iconic Leap of Faith.

Few major releases have a marketing cycle as short as Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, but you have to admit – it’s shaping up quite well. IGN has some new gameplay footage which showcases Edward Kenway doing what he does best, so give it a gander below.

It also helps reaffirm what was already confirmed by Ubisoft Singapore in last week’s AMA – that social stealth is still a thing, as Edward can rest on a bench and pop his hood up. He can also pay NPCs to cause distractions – always a fun time when it comes to infiltration. And thanks to the ability to crouch anywhere, anytime, stealth has become that much more endearing.

Of course, there’s plenty more to gawk at, especially the dynamic weather (courtesy of Atmos, also used in Assassin’s Creed Shadows) and how it affects the surroundings as Edward parkours through. Watching the trees sway with the wind is almost as endearing as the assassinations, not to mention the iconic Leap of Faith.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced launches on July 9th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. While the world map remains the same, Ubisoft confirmed that it will be “a little more dense” with new islands and new places to explore in the cities. You can’t use the Hidden Blade as separate weapon, unfortunately, but other tactics should help smooth that over.
