The future of Assassin’s Creed promises to be interesting, with Ubisoft currently working on a live service platform for the series’ next outing with Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which is expected to be an evolving platform that will feature multiple settings or games, with more to be added going forward. Official details on the game are scant, but it seems we might soon get a reveal for it.
Journalist Jeff Grubb recently said on his daily Giant Bomb podcast Game Mess Mornings that one of Assassin’s Creed Infinity’s settings is likely to get revealed in September, with a Ubisoft Forward showcase scheduled for the month.
According to Grubb, Assassin’s Creed Infinity will launch with two settings. One of these is the previously leaked Project Red, which is set in Japan and, according to Grubb, will see players playing as a ninja.
Interestingly, leaks have claimed that before Assassin’s Creed Infinity, Ubisoft has another game in the series coming out with Assassin’s Creed Rift, which is allegedly set in Baghdad and is smaller an much more stealth-focused title than other recent entries. A recent report claimed that the game is due out in Spring of 2023.
